But it's more than that. Facilitated by Power.org, Power Architecture
technology forms an enhanced platform for collaborative hardware
innovation, with the goal of developing community specifications and
supporting development tools that work together to facilitate
integration and enhanced implementations. |

intended that Power.org will serve as the premier open standards
organization for developing, enabling and promoting Power
Architecture technology and specifications. The community is expected
to deliver specifications and guidelines to enable a complete design
and manufacturing infrastructure that will resolve many of the
technology and business issues hindering hardware development and
innovation. |

Power.org's mission is to develop, enable and promote Power
Architecture technology as the preferred open standard hardware
development platform for the electronics industry and to administer
qualification programs that optimize interoperability and accelerate
innovation for a positive user experience. |

Power.org's objectives are to develop open standards and
specifications, business guidelines documents, best practices and
education, certifications to validate implementations and drive

Power.org will develop specifications and manages community
building through the collaboration of expert committees that are
driven by the Power.org Board of Directors. Possible expert
committees include: Operations Committee, Technical Committee,
Developer Committee, Compliance Committee and Marketing

Members will represent a worldwide cross-section of semiconductor
and Electronics organizations, ranging from SOC firms, tool vendors,
foundries, OS vendors, OEMs, Independent Hardware Vendors,

also welcome individual developers, educational institutions and
government organizations. |
