Request a Trademark License

Power.org offers five trademarks in the Power Architecture brand system for members to license and use. The trademark license is good for seven years, and it's intended to provide fair -- even generous -- user privileges while still safeguarding the trademarks' value for the entire Power Architecture community.

Licensing is fairly simple and straightforward:

  • Step 1: Your organization must be a member of Power.org to use our logos and trademarks. We recommend joining at the Participant level, at minimum, to enjoy the full benefits of belonging to Power.org, but our free Developer membership also qualifies you to use the Power Architecture Brand System.

  • Step 2: Carefully read the Power.org Trademark License Agreement and the Power Architecture Brand and Identity Guidelines. Please pay special attention to the qualifying conditions in Attachment 2 of the trademark license to verify you're eligible for the marks you want.

  • Step 3: Complete the online trademark license request form.

  • Step 4: Execute the Power.org Trademark License Agreement. This may be done online or you may sign and return it in hard copy. Either way, the agreement should be executed by someone in your organization who's authorized to sign trademark licenses, usually a company officer or an employee with expressed authority to enter into these types of contracts.
  • Step 5: Within two business days of receiving your executed trademark license agreement, we'll e-mail you art files for the logos you requested. You may then begin using the logos and trademarks as described in our Power Architecture Brand and Identity Guidelines.

If you have questions about the trademark license, please contact us. Otherwise, proceed to the online trademark license request form.
