JSCC seminar speaker biographies
The following are some of the biographies of the speakers at the JSCC seminar in Moscow.
Dr. Victor Korneev is the Research & Development Institute (Kvant) Director for science Specializes in architecture of supercomputer parallel systems and system software. He has joined SuperComputer Center RAS as Chief researcher.
Dr. Vladimir Alexandrovich Grishagin, Nizhny Novgorod State University, candidate of science, associate professor in Software department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics faculty, head of the Logistics department of Faculty of Management and Business. Area of scientific interests includes mathematical models, methods, and software in decision making; mathematical modelling; demography; logistics. Founder of a new line of investigation in multiextremal optimization tasks analysis theory. Author of more then 80 publications, including articles in "Journal of Global Optimization," "Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications," "Optimization Methods and Software," "European Journal of Operational Researches," "Journal of Computational Analyses and Applications." Leader of several successfully completed reseach projects.
Dr. Boris Chetverushkin is a Professor, Dr.Sc.( physics.), correspondent member of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). He is the Director of the Institute For Mathematical Modelling of Russian Academy of Sciences (IMM RAS). He is a Member of the International Scientific Committee ECCOMAS 2000, 2004, Parallel CFD 2002, 2004, 2005. Head of the of organization committee of Parallel CFD 2003.
Dr. Nina Popova is an assistant professor of Lomonosov Moscow State University. She works at the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of MSU for over 25 years. She is Honorary Teacher of MSU. She earned a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 1982. Her scientific work is connected with High Performance Computing and intellectual analysis of experimental data. She participated in the program development for Nuclear Fusion and Plasma Physics research NFTC (Russia) and NIMROD (USA) projects. Her e-mail is popova@cs.msu.su.
