Prepare your computer before the Summit

To attend the Summit remotely, direct a web browser to http://penguinppc.org.swsummit/.  Attendees should verify their connection before the conference begins.

Attendees lacking Java can connect with a TightVNC client by first installing the appropriate free TightVNC client from http://www.tightvnc.com/download.html, before the Summit.

On the day of the Summit

  1. Call into the conference number above and give your name to the operator. Priority will be given to those who have registered.

  2. Connect to the web presentation using one of the following methods:

    1. Direct a web browser to http://penguinppc.org/swsummit/, or

    2. Startup the TightVNC Viewer. Choose the Best Compression option. (server=penquinppc.org:99) (password=swsummit)

This is intended to be an interactive Summit. We encourage comments and questions. The phone lines will be un-muted to allow free discussion but we ask that you mute your phone when you are not speaking. If your phone does not have a “mute” button press *6 to mute and un-mute your phone.
